One of the few remaining buildings of the once-thriving Factory Square, an 1891 map lists the building as Nill and Jess, Model Bakery.

Some reports say that Watertown Confections may have invented and sold what eventually became the National Biscuit Company (Nabisco)'s Oreo cookie and Shredded Wheat. Other accounts say that the cereal wasn't made here, but the machine that created Shredded Wheat cereal was.


Later used by Perkins Scrap Metal.
