State Street Methodist
State Street Methodist Episcopal Church stood on State Street in Watertown and was built in 1849. In the ensuing years, traffic and industry led the congregation to seek a quieter place for their church. The 1914, the church moved to the newly constructed Asbury Methodist Church on Franklin and Parker Streets. The State Street structure was eventually demolished. A Burger King restaurant now sits on this site.
