Peter Ligammari

From Jefferson County NY Wiki

One of Watertown's cultural strengths was the tight knit family support that was part of the many ethnic groups that emigrated to the U.S.A. at the turn of the century and passed the influence on to their progeny. The Italian American community was no exception.

Peter Liagammari was one notable person who brought a smile to everyone who met him. A YouTube video by Adams Cove Productions, pays a nice tribute to the spirit of the man.

Many local contractors fondly recall him as a master artisan whose prowess with a trowel remains unsurpassed. His crowning achievement was a 35-foot plaster dome in Glens Falls. He was known by two nicknames: “The Champ” and “Peter Gun”.
