John M. McHugh
John McHugh was born in Watertown, and now lives in Pierrepont Manor. He went to Watertown High School and attended Utica College, and then State University of New York at Albany and there received a Masters. He later became an assistant to the Watertown City Manager then as an aid to Senator D. Douglas Barkley, and then as a member of the State Senate. John McHugh is currently the Republican politician representing the 23rd congressional district, which includes Watertown. Now nominated by President Barack Obama to the position of United States Secretary of the Army.
