Jewettsville[edit | edit source]

Jewettsville was a hamlet that was once located in the Town of Hounsfield. Centered on the intersection of Dodge Ave. and Hess Road it consisted of a tavern (a requirement of any respectable settlement at that time), a brickyard, cooper shop, school, and about a dozen residences. It has remained recognized as a hamlet on maps through today, though little of the hamlet remains save for a few homes, including the home of Samuel Guthrie House.
